In 1999, Dave Daiss CMSA #89 of Cave Creek, Arizona, proposed the idea of an award presented annually, inspired by the concept of an individual accepting a challenge to make something good happen in the world. In 2001, that award was named and announced at the World Championships Banquet as the 'CMSA Scholarship Award'. This award has been a great help in the lives of young people furthering their education. Donations to the CMSA Scholarship Fund, Inc., are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.
